Strategy, vision and growth in a changing market

At the beginning of this year, Chafai Baihat was appointed ATOZ Services’ Managing Partner.

We took some time to sit down with him, 4 months into his new role, to give him the opportunity to outline his strategic priorities, and to reflect on how ATOZ Services is evolving to meet changing client expectations in an increasingly complex business environment.

Tell us about the ATOZ Services team and your core services

ATOZ Services is a trusted operational partner for companies and investors, providing a comprehensive range of services, including fund administration, accounting & reporting, tax compliance, governance, risk & compliance services, and transfer pricing. Our role is to simplify complexity and act as a central point of coordination, enabling clients to operate efficiently in Luxembourg and across borders.

The team is now made up of over 340 experts across three countries, after having significantly invested in its growth over the past few years. In particular, in 2024, the group acquired three companies, allowing us to considerably strengthen our capabilities across borders (ATOZ Services United Kingdom), in governance, risk and compliance services (ATOZ Governance Services), and for the alternative investments sector (ATOZ Fund Services). These acquisitions give us the opportunity to offer a 360° solution for businesses.

Today, I’m proud to say that ATOZ Services offers a comprehensive, fully integrated service model spanning the entire fund hierarchy, from AssetCo level up to fund level, and there is a clear focus on quality, responsiveness and building long-term relationships.

What is your vision for ATOZ Services, and what are your key strategic priorities?

Our vision is to further strengthen our position as the leading service provider of choice, recognised for the quality and integration of our services. This vision has been shaped by listening closely to our clients and understanding how their needs are evolving in an increasingly complex and international environment.

Our key strategic priorities, therefore, include:

  • A focus on expanding our geographic footprint across the EU and the US to better support clients wherever they operate
  • Continuing to broaden our service offering by adding new capabilities that complement and enhance our existing expertise, ensuring we can continue to provide truly end-to-end solutions
  • Remaining committed to investing in talent, innovation and collaboration across our teams

How is ATOZ Services evolving to meet changing client expectations and market challenges?

ATOZ Services is evolving from a Luxembourg provider into a multi-jurisdictional, full-service platform by pursuing simultaneous transformations: Deepening our service offering, expanding our geographic footprint and investing in technology and operational infrastructure to continue delivering services more efficiently and at scale. The common thread is a deliberate shift toward becoming the single, trusted operational partner for institutional clients across their full Luxembourg and European structure, at a time when those clients are demanding fewer but more capable counterparts.

Which areas of expertise or service lines do you see as key drivers of future growth?

We consistently see strong momentum in all areas across the alternative investments sectors, in particular in terms of our regulatory, fund administration and transaction-related support. These areas reflect where clients are facing the greatest complexity and where we can bring the most value through our combined expertise.

What makes ATOZ Services stand out, and what message would you like to share with clients and future talent?
